Dave Metheny-Belleville, Il methenyd@charter.net Three days after graduation, left for USMC "boot camp". Subsequently spent 8 years in the USAF in MISS, MONT, CANADA, ILL and MICH. Married Rita Cox (From WHS '61) June 11, 1960. Three kids, and now 6 grandchildren. 1967 brought Civilian life, and a field engineer job with Honeywell, then 8 years at NWSC Crane, Indiana as a Electronics Technician. (GS-9). That followed 18 years in the Computer Industry all around the country. MICH, CALIF, NEVADA, and back to Illinois in 1984. In St Louis was a Data Processing manager and moved to several companies via Corporate Buy-outs, and then to US Sprint in Kansas City. In 1991 I came back to a Government job at Scott AFB as a GS-12 Computer Specialist. In 1999 went to Washington DC with HQ USMC and then to the HQ Central Office of the Veterans Administration (as GS-13). In Dec 2007, I returned to Scott AFB with the US Army (as Software Test Director GS-14) where I work now, and view retirement sometime after Nov 2008 with over 30 years Federal Service. Interestingly, I have 30 years as a DOD Federal civilian in all FOUR Military Services and the VA. Return to TOP
