What is a Genealogical Web Ring?
- A Web Ring is a group of web pages and sites, which all relate to Family, Genealogy
and family history. These sites are then linked thru a graphical interface, allowing "following:
the ring of Sites by clicking on the Next, Previous, or other links.
- There are no restrictions on joining this web ring, other than that of being Genealogy Related.
You may belong to any other webrings, as you so choose!
So, Just how do I join this Webring?
- Look over the following webring member requirements. You MUST agree to abide by them before you apply.
- Your page must contain some information related to Genealogy,
and have a desire to link your site to other similar sites.- You must have a web site (Home Page) that is regularly maintained, and updated frequently.
- Your Site must be "Family Safe" and that has NO pornography or offensive pictures or text.
- You must have your site registered with the Genealogy World Ring Master, and notify him of Changes.
To become a member of the Genealogy World Web Ring, fill out the following form.
NOTE: The above form does not allow you to fully join the ring. Only goes into a "queue", then the Ring Master will verify your site, and that you have properly placed the html code fragment. Once the Site review is completed, You will then be added to the ring.
After you have filled in the form above, you need to add html code to your site page WITHIN 14 DAYS.

To do this on Windows 95, simply place your cursor ON THE GRAPHIC YOU WANT, and RIGHT click on it. A small menu will pop up--simply click on "save image as", and save it to your disk. The name of the graphic WILL ALREADY be there. Now remember you MUST upload BOTH the ring code AND graphic(s) to your server.
Also, I will send copies of the graphics with the ring code, so you can either copy the ones here, or use the ones included with the email.
Now you are Finished! except, that is, for one last thing!
You have email ME!--your RingMaster, and tell me you are ready to go! I will visit your site, and if all is well, I will add you---usually the same day. If there is something wrong, I will tell you what it is and have you fix it--then add you.
If you haven't been added within 14 days, the queue will automatically remove you. So add the code as soon as you can. If you have ANY problems, Email me.Ring Members
